I have loved L.J Smith since 6th grade (a long time ago...I'm in my early 30's now) and this series is no exception. I started them when they originally came out but oddly enough only have 5 of the books on my shelf so I had to purchase two of the omnibus books. They were priced so low (I was shocked). One of the books was $4.00!!!! Basically the omnibus has 3 complete books inside it. And I'm telling you as the books progressed they got better!! Each book is about different people all tied to the same core story. The final book has not come out yet and there is currently no publish date for it...but I'm positive it will be AMAZING and tie up the entire series uniting all the core characters from each book!!! Enjoy and check out ALL L.J. Smiths books!!!

The Night World series are wonderfully written and a joy to read. Each bind up has three short stories in it based on the dealings in the same underground society. L.J.Smith does an amazing job at linking all stories together. The only bad thing I can say about this series is bind up 4, the final in the series STILL isn’t out. Seeing as these series have been out for over 5 years I've stopped holding my breath hoping we will get the last one. But even without it they are beautiful stories.
Loved these stories and hope L J Smith keeps coming out with more of them!!
In my opinion Night World is the best series in the genre of vampires and witches. This is the second book in the series and includes three new stories. If you liked the first, you will love this next installment.
Wonderful
I've been a vampire fan for a long time, and some can be quite inappropriate for younger consumers. So when I find things that my daughter might like I tend to pre-read it before my daughter does. I can without reservation hand these novelettes over to my daughter to read. I like that there are strong moral female characters for her to emulate, though I am a bit disconcerted by the common theme of soul mates. Then again, I am male and over 50, and my daughter is 14. Hopefully she will love it and it will further stimulate her to read.
I had to have these books. I bought them to read them again. I know I've grown up a lot since I last read them, but I am okay with that, ha.

I would recommend these for entertainment purposes because they can be a little cheesy, but not nearly on the same level as Twilight. They are very fun and the characters are not bland at all.
I'm a mid 40-ish mom and have read all Twilight books after my teen daughter was so intriqued and couldn't put them down and decided to find out what the hype was all about. I've been reading the Night World #1 of this series and I bought all three books at once and truley wasn't a mistake. I've read 1/2 way through the first book and it's very very good and if you're looking for age appropriate for your tween or teen. If you like reading a book with teen love and light romance,taboo situations and curiousity into the night world, then this fits the bill. Each book appears to have 3 sections with many chapters; each section relates to the one just read, characters jumping into the next chapter and adding more intriguing characters to the mix.
