Great book by a great story teller. Had read the other wedding tree book before this and had firgitten what a great story teller Ms Wells is. Loved the details about Louisiana and the lovinvcway in which small town life was portrayed.
One of the best stories I have read. Real romance. You are taken to the past and back to the future with no confusion. Love this story.
I think this is Robin Wells best book so far! Historical fiction about WWII, growing up and living in the Deep South, young love, sacrifice, acceptance, family secrets, wrongs made right and forever love. The Wedding Tree has it all.
I just couldnt put it down. I read it in 3 days and was mesmerized. What an amazing storyteller. Do yourself a favor and read this book and The French War Bride.
This story was a warm blanket on a cold winter's day. Addie is the old woman I hope to be when I am her age...smart, loving, introspective, if a bit addled. We should all be fortunate enough to have a granddaughter like Hope. If a little predictable, the book was undeniably compelling. It's a feel-good tale, something we all need from time to time.
I'm not too crazy about Romantic Novels but our book club selected it. It was a pretty good read all in all, and it had a parts were sweet, some were tragic and sad, some were heart warming. There were some experiences there were relatable, some not. Some parts were really "out there", but all in all, it was a fun read for our book club.
This is my first, but not my last, Robin Wells novel. I love the style it is written. It blends characters so smoothly and flawlessly that the reader is floating down a timeless river. Their is romance and suspense told with a delightful lighthearted experience. I give this an easy five star rating.
