I saw a blurb on Facebook from a first time Susan Mallory reader who raved about this book. Well having read many of her books I curiously looked this book up and cautiously downloaded a sample. Why was I cautious? I am not sure. I have never not liked a Susan Mallory book.

ANYWAY, needless to say I was hooked immediately.

This book was amazing. RILEY was the perfect brooding male and Gracie was funny, honest, sweet and the perfect heroine.

The way Susan created Gracie' s two sisters had me wanting to slap them silly and Don't get me started on Mom. SUSAN created such vivid characters I was sucked into the story as if it was real. The story leapt off the pages and I could not put it down. I read it in one day.

Trust me, you will LOVE Falling for Gracie!

Gracie Landon has spent the last 14 years trying to live down her infamous past. It turns out that the reason they appeared to invite her is for one of her famous wedding cake creations at no charge. Gracie, now living in LA is the wedding cake maker to the stars; the Vera Wang of the cake set. When her sister Alexis asks her to help spy on her husband because she suspects he's unfaithful, Gracie reluctantly agrees, particularly since it entails spying on the house of Riley. Zeke is Riley's mayoral campaign manager. Riley has a vengeful uncle who makes his winning the election a condition of his inheritance of $97 million. His plans are to win but not serve. When they literally bump into each other, she confesses to Riley why she's there, and he agrees to help her solve the mystery to ensure hsi chances for winning are not curtailed. Soon he wonders why he resisted her all the years ago. As Riley's popularity in the poles increase (thanks to a suggestive picture and a reprinting of "The Gracie Chronicles," highlighting her past transgressions), he and Gracie continue to investigate. But the current mayor will do anything to get reelected, and he and his mistress (who has link to both Riley and Gracie) try to embarrass Riley and Gracie at every turn. But when her livelihood is threatened, Gracie is out for blood.

The story is refreshing and more than a mystery/romance. The family dynamics of the Landon women could be a book in and of itself, and the nosy townspeople would make anyone happy to live an anonymous life in a big city. While the bad guys are no mystery, getting there is so much fun!
Book was great. But......Heads up---book was originally written in 2005. If I would have known that I would not have ordered it. I have read a lot of Susan Mallory books over the years so I was concerned I may have read it. But as it turns out that wasn't the case. Love Susan Mallory books.
Riley and Gracie after 14 years they return home and they are falling for each other. This romance has everything you will be laughing or crying and you suspense included. Susan has written a great book here I loved it
One of my all-time favorite romances to visit when I need a pick me up. A swoonworthy love story that will always leave me with an uplifted heart and a smile. Gracie's antics are hysterical and Riley is the perfect hero for her! XOXO
This book could be turned into a sitcom series, romance and comedy. Gracie comes back to Los Lobos after leaving in disgrace fourteen years ago, through no fault of her own she gets into some interesting situations reminiscent of the past. Reminds me a little of Lucy and Ethel.
It's been a long time since I read Susan Mallery and I know she's popular so when I saw this book on sale, I decided to give it a try. It was a fun read. Some of the dialogue seemed a little cringe worthy and it's old so it could probably use a little editing and updating, but I enjoyed it. I like sassy main characters and this one definitely was. Loved Gracie. I expect I'll check out more of Ms. Mallery's books when I want something light and fun.
I have read many of Susan Mallery's book and am a huge fan. This book did not disappoint! Gracie left the town of Los Lobos fourteen years ago when her mom sent her away. She was obsessed with Riley, the boy next door and was becoming the talk of the town with her crazy teenage antics to get his attention. She hasn't been back and only comes back because her younger sister was getting married and they wanted her to bake her cake. She couldn't believe that after so many years, people still remembered her and her past, she was a legend. Riley is also back in town, he had become a rich man and was running for mayor. Alexis, Gracie's sister recruits her to help her find out who her husband was having an affair with. Gracie and Riley find themselves working together, since her brother in law was his campaign manager. Doing things together, had the town talking and everyone reliving the past. Riley couldn't believe he was attracted to Gracie, he usually had rules he followed in regards to women find them, f them and forget them (three F's). Gracie couldn't believe how attractive Riley was, even after all these years. Not only did he like how he looked, but the person he was now. He should be the last person on her mind.

Someone is trying to sabotage his career, and her career, but was there any relation? There is family drama, personal drama and town drama all around them!

Story was funny, entertaining and simply delightful! It had humor, romance, a little mystery and lots of fun!
